What is app-ads.txt and how do I set it up?

App-ads.txt is a text file that app developers upload to their developer website to identify who is authorized to sell their ad inventory. It is an extension of the ads.txt standard created by the IAB Tech Lab to fight ad fraud.

Appodeal supports app-ads.txt. You can find the required app-ads.txt entries for your app in the Appodeal dashboard.

How to Enable app-ads.txt

If you don't have an app-ads.txt file yet

1. Go to your app settings in the Appodeal dashboard.
2. Copy the app-ads.txt entries provided by Appodeal.
3. Create a file named app-ads.txt and paste the entries into it.
4. Upload this file to the root of your developer website (the website URL listed in your app store listing). For example, if your developer website is https://example.com, the file should be accessible at https://example.com/app-ads.txt.

If you already have an app-ads.txt file

1. Go to your app settings in the Appodeal dashboard.
2. Copy the app-ads.txt entries provided by Appodeal.
3. Add (append) these entries to your existing app-ads.txt file.
4. Make sure the updated file is uploaded to the root of your developer website.
